I had a wonderful afternoon visiting the Swtan Heritage Museum in Porth Swtan.
It was a privilege to meet the team who have lovingly restored this thatched Welsh cottage and who work hard to make this unique museum such a success.
I was kindly shown around by trustee Eric Davies - and met with many others including Cath Jones, Enid Christie,
Sylvia Peat, Arwel Hughes (Chair), Bill Rowley, Tim Gray and Richard Edwards.
I was particularly impressed with the attention to detail in recreating cottage life - right down to the Anglesey Pig Snout apple trees in the beautiful cottage garden.
Thank you too - for the delicious homemade shortbread (my favourite!) and my bag of Swtan treats - which I will proudly display in my office in Westminster.
Itโs no wonder that Swtan is popular with locals and tourists - I will definitely be back!
Details about upcoming Swtan events and how you can support the team are in the comments section below.
