Always great to catch up with the Morlais Tidal Stream team to see how the project is progressing and creating jobs and employment right here on Anglesey.
It was brilliant to be joined by MS Janet Finch-Saunders the Shadow Minister for Climate Change.
Thank you to Andy Billcliff the Morlais Tidal Energy CEO, Director John Idris Jones, Huw Jones the Chairman of Jones Brothers and Brendan Fieldhouse the site project manager for an excellent update and tour of the key sites.
Morlais Marine Energy is a Menter Mรดn community project that aims to help tackle climate change by using renewable energy to generate clean low carbon electricity.
The Morlais project manages a 35 km2 area of seabed off the coast of Holy Island, Anglesey and has the potential to put Ynys Mรดn on the map in terms of tidal stream energy.
Anglesey is known as energy island - because we have wind, wave, solar, tidal, hydrogen and hopefully new nuclear at Wylfa.
