The Prime Minister was keen to learn about RAF Valley's important role in training fast jet pilots for the RAF and Royal Navy. He was also especially keen to see for himself how RAF Valley contributes to the local economy and to the Anglesey community.
He was briefed on various charitable and community engagement activities and met the RAF Mountain Rescue Service, the Anglesey Military Wives Choir and Air Cadets from Mona Squadron. Diolch yn fawr to Station Commander Matt Hoare and his team for organising an excellent welcome and visit at sort notice.
Visits like this from the decision makers in UK Government ensure that Ynys Môn remains front and centre of government policy – which is why I invite so many Ministers and large businesses to our island.
